01 / Academic Foundations
Movement Science & Doctoral Training
Akanksha earned her Master of Physical Therapy (MPT, Neurology) in 2011 and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy, building deep expertise in exercise science, biomechanics, and neurorehabilitation — foundations that now inform both her clinical practice and her teaching methodology.
"The more precisely you understand human movement, the more powerfully you can restore it."

02 / Oncology Residency
Baylor Scott & White — Sammons Cancer Center
From July 2022 to September 2023, Akanksha completed her Oncology PT Residency at the Baylor Scott & White Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas — one of the nation's most rigorous oncology training environments. She managed a full-time caseload emphasizing lymphedema prevention, survivorship, and complex post-op rehabilitation, developed provider-specific rehab protocols later adopted regionally, and mentored PT students and residents throughout.
